Loose Threads, Vol. 10—Best of May ’09
Hey, Sock Heads. Apologies in advance to my international readers (what up, Elle?) but it’s still holiday season on this side of the globe. However, tomorrow is the last weekend of the month, which is when I do Loose Threads, my monthly recap of some of the best posts from the archives (aka the Sock Drawer).
I took a brief break from my turkey-induced coma and the day off to give you this Loose Threads post a day early. For this month’s edition I’m turning the calendar back to May ’09.
Most of the topics are evergreen so don’t feel scared to comment on an old post as I read and appreciate them all. As always, you can search my Sock Drawer at any time or go through the various sections below to see what discussions and topics you may have missed. There’s also the search engine at the top of the page where you can look for specific topics as well.
If you need to reach me for anything you can hit me on my email, which you can get from the toolbar above or by CLICKING HERE. Feel free to holla at me there with questions, blog suggestions, feedback on the site, or submitting a guest blog. I try my best to get back to folks as soon as I can, so be patient if it takes a little while.
FYI: My schedule’s been a bit erratic lately so definitely interested in receiving a few good guest blogs and articles if you got them.
You can also get daily email alerts on new posts by subscribing to the blog HERE, follow my random thoughts on Twitter HERE, or join my online networks on MySpace and BlackPlanet. There’s also the FaceBook fan page and a blog network page for faithful readers to stay connected. Feel free to hit me up on any or all of those pages, just be sure to introduce yourself as a reader/sock head by sending a quick note with your friend request to avoid going through my tedious screening process. ☺ Anyway, without further ado, enjoy Loose Threads, Vol. 10.
Sincerely yours,
NWSO

Sadomasochistic Soliloquy (I F#cked Her With My Pen)
This was the post that started it all. This erotic and graphic poem was the beginning of what would become my award-winning series, Wet Wednesdays. If you’ve never read this post CLICK HERE now and catch up on some good writing.
Does Closure Make Breaking Up Easier?

Do Men Really Want to Marry Virgins? (The Purity Myth)

Do You Use Condoms in Committed Relationships?
Call me crazy, but I don’t plan on having unprotected sex until I’m ready to have kids. That includes when I’m married. I’m just so used to wearing a condom that it’s become second nature, still, despite growing STD rates and unwanted pregnancies on the rise, people still have unprotected sex because they’re in a “committed” relationship. CLICK HERE to see why that might be a dumb move.
