Wow you’re on a roll..for getting things wrong. I personally have a tongue piercing and definitely am not a freak. I got it during my freshmen year of college (18 years old), just to get something peirced because I could….not because I felt the need to deep throat a guy. It was an act of independance, not an act of my inner freak.

Back when I was a teen, piercings were the thing to have, just like those kinds of tatts that are nowadays called “tramp stamp”. Having one or both was more of a fashion statement than it was a form of expression. And if it wasn’t a fashion statement, I’d venture to say that many folks got it as a form of rebellion.

I wanted both, but didn’t get either. And I am glad I didn’t because both seem corny to me now.

Maybe this is a men’s thing, but I don’t think women or men with piercings are freakier than others. Actually, it’s always the quiet and conservative ones who have whips and chains in their closet. The folks who appear freaky or supersexy for whatever reason tend to be completely average in the bedroom.

Oh yea, and men with tongue piercings = suspect. Back when I was staying in Cali everybody and their momma was getting their tongue pierced and used neon colored piercings at that. WTH? And the dudes thought it was sexy. I shot down quite a few egos in 2000.

I have a tongue ring and honestly when I got it the last thing on my mind was giving head. I did get it as an act of rebellion more than anything else, I would have gotten a tattoo but I wasn’t brave enough for something so permanent. I use to want to get my tongue pierced but for the reasons you mentioned above, I decided not too. Also because I work in a professional setting. It’ just not appropriate. For me, whenever I meet someone with an oral piercing, I find myself staring into their mouths and not listening to what it is they have to say. Another reason why I decided against it.

I got my tongue pierced when i was 18, half as a independent thing (however the tattoo took care of that lol) and half because i am and always will be a freak. I have to add i have an oral fedish i guess you could say for as long as i could remember. Since i was a baby (and yes i’ve asked my mom) i’ve always had something in my mouth(that sounds bad but its true). I very rarely play with my ring in public and mainly cause i forget its there. A lot of my friends got those piercings 10-15 years ago. I dated a few guys that had them and I find them very sexy and fun! Back in the day, I thought people with them were maybe a little wilder than me.

Now that I know so many people who have had them for so long, I just think about their dental bills! Ha. That constant clicking on the teeth wears down the enamel. I know people with gum damage, tooth damage and tongue damage. SO. I’m glad I didn’t get one and I’m glad my husband didn’t get one; but not because of the freak factor, rather all about the dental copays and yearly deductibles we aren’t paying. None of that is sexy or fun.

P.S. I know that not everybody has problems like this, you can get acrylic posts and stay disciplined about care and not tap it on your teeth or rub at your gums, just a lot of people I know ended up with problems a decade or more later.

I’ve been thinking about getting it pierced just recently, and have to admit that although i wanted it because all my friends were getting piercings i did consider the sexual implications. So i asked my boyfriend what he thought about it and he told me that it was up to me and not to get it for his sake as he enjoys the way i do it anyway. And to be honest if he asked me about getting his done i would say the same. Its a persons personal choice.
And i dont think that having a tongue piercing makes you promisculous or trying to attract that kind of attention because i’ve been with my boyfriend for 3 years and we are still going strong, and i was considering it for him.
I don’t think that now i will get it done but people with piercings and tattoos are just like everyone else and we all have different reasons for doing the things we do so don’t judge a book by its cover NWSO.

I just got my tongue pierced a few months ago and I’ll be the first to admit my oral fixation. Things just end up in my mouth, no way around it. Oral sex wasn’t the number one reason for getting it done but… The idea sure didn’t turn me off.

Im a guy with a tongue ring…my gf bought it for me because her friend would only get one if I had one too. So I did it figuring I could always take it out if it was horrible.
