A First Kiss

October 24th 2008 in Relationships/Love

There’s just nothing like a first kiss. All subsequent lip locks will always pale in comparison to that initial display of affection with someone. Over time the other kisses will all become routine and blend right into one another in your memory. Depending on the relationship, though, the passion may remain, but there’ll still never be a kiss like that first one.

See, a first kiss is born over time. It’s seeped in nervousness and anticipation, creating an invisible ball of tension that explodes in the participants’ mouths like two octopi entangled in a brawl to the death. That first kiss is something neither person wants to end—especially if both of you have been patiently awaiting its arrival. Now that this moment is here, this oral dance will continue for as long as humanly possible, setting off a chain of events that will lead to great unknowns of love and life. That’s why there’s absolutely nothing like a first kiss.

A first kiss is fiery. It’s long, deep and intense. It’s what you’ve been fantasizing about ever since the first date. You constantly find yourself staring at the other person’s lips from across the restaurant table, wondering what they taste like. You ponder what their tongue will feel like dancing sensually in your own mouth. Sometimes, you even stop listening to the person of your desire when they’re talking because your thoughts are consumed with the idea of pressing your lips against theirs. Between flutters of your eyes’ shutters, you daydream about nothing else but that soft, subtle, inviting first kiss.

Think about your own first kiss(es). More than likely you remember them more vividly than any of the rest, even your last. The euphoric release and quelling of curiosity about whether or not s/he is a good kisser has finally been satiated. Your answer lies right there in the moment. Right there in the center of your lap as lingual motions above caused movements down below. This is only the beginning, because by definition a first of anything denotes that a second, third and possible fourth may follow. Not all of us are so lucky, though. Hopefully, this won’t be your last embrace, but in case it is, make sure that that first kiss is so memorable that it will stay etched into your memory long after your lips and hearts have parted ways.

How many people remember their first kiss with any of their significant others or partners? Was it the most passionate of them all? What made it so special? How was the night (or day) that led up to that kiss? What are some of your best first kisses? Why?

Speak your piece…

This is one of my all-time favorite R&B songs ever. Don’t know why, but I love this joint.

“A First Kiss”

I often comment on how I have dated guys who hate kissing and though they engage in it with me, because they know this is something I think highly of, kissing someone who generally doesn’t like the act is just not the same as kissing someone who enjoys it just as much as I do. (a truly great kiss could have me near orgasm without one ounce of penetration…)

I DEFINITELY remember my first kiss with the one person who has in fact been the only person I have been a “relationship” with (in NY for 8 years and one relationship..smh). I am getting chills as I recollect this first kiss…it was like being immersed in a mind numbing wave of ecstasy…I’ve never done drugs but I imagine that the high I got from this kiss was much like the “aaahhhh” an addict feels when taking that first hit. And if you’ve never taken a hit before, the pleasure is almost unbearable. Takes you off guard, catches your breath and sweeps you away…

Umm, I feel you and all but it is too early in the day for me to take this trip down memory lane. I wouldn’t have to go very far but it would be quite a distraction in the middle of my day. I might want to break up outta here. lol.

I really can’t remember the first of anything, well much of anything but I remember a kiss I shared with a person who I have parted from and he came back in my life.

When we reunited, it wasn’t about the kiss for me, it was about touching him, smelling him and feeling the nerves and the anticipation run through me. It was an unexplainable buzz. The kiss was the icing on the cake.

I remember like it was yesterday, right there on the corner of Rockaway and Flatlands about 11 years ago. Now that I think of it, it was truly an inappropriate display of affection. I blame it on teenage hormones. None the less, he is still in my life today.

Well I remember one particulary good first kiss…that is pretty recent for me :) .
I met a man, who stimulated my mind..we chatted and corresponded online for months before we had a chance to actually meet in person and get to know one another face to face. There were nerves in my stomach..and we hung out together more than once before we kissed.
It was actually completely unexpected. We were watching a movie, talking and laughing. He had his arms around me..and after he finished a sentence, he just turned to me and gave me a kiss on the lips. It was the softest, most sensual kiss I have experienced yet in my life! I felt the sparks go down into my baby toe! (lol). From there we kissed for I swear what felt like 30 min straight…barely stopping for air…just long enough to caress one another’s dreads and look into each other’s eyes.
DAMNIT MAN!
Now I see why this was something to discuss after work..cuz im gettin worked up just thinkin about those soft ass lips..
THANKS FOR THIS BLOG…BROUGHT BACK SOME VERY GOOD MEMORIES :)

Ok, I know this post is about the first kiss, but I’m busy reminiscing about that Blackstreet joint!

Loved it! My legs buckled and I melted right into his arms (he had to hold me up). It was right then and there that I decided I would be his woman b/c if he could kiss like that, the sex would be off the chain and it WAS!! To me, the way you kiss me is a preview of how you will sex me.

I Like You…And You…And You…

The other day my homegirl Tanisha hit me on IM to spill the beans about her current guy troubles. She’s single, attractive, has no kids and for the past few months she’s been seeing two guys. One a month or two longer than the other, but she likes them both for different reasons. Sex hasn’t [...]

Doctors Say Oral Sex Can Kill (I Demand a Recount)

Last week I posted an article that spoke on the potential health benefits for women to perform oral sex called “Can Head Save Your Life.” In response to this wonderfully inspiring post, fellow bloggers April from AroundHarlem.com and Selly from The Fountain Flow sent me separate counter articles speaking on the potential dangers of fellatio.
