A First Kiss

There’s just nothing like a first kiss. All subsequent lip locks will always pale in comparison to that initial display of affection with someone. Over time the other kisses will all become routine and blend right into one another in your memory. Depending on the relationship, though, the passion may remain, but there’ll still never be a kiss like that first one.
See, a first kiss is born over time. It’s seeped in nervousness and anticipation, creating an invisible ball of tension that explodes in the participants’ mouths like two octopi entangled in a brawl to the death. That first kiss is something neither person wants to end—especially if both of you have been patiently awaiting its arrival. Now that this moment is here, this oral dance will continue for as long as humanly possible, setting off a chain of events that will lead to great unknowns of love and life. That’s why there’s absolutely nothing like a first kiss.
A first kiss is fiery. It’s long, deep and intense. It’s what you’ve been fantasizing about ever since the first date. You constantly find yourself staring at the other person’s lips from across the restaurant table, wondering what they taste like. You ponder what their tongue will feel like dancing sensually in your own mouth. Sometimes, you even stop listening to the person of your desire when they’re talking because your thoughts are consumed with the idea of pressing your lips against theirs. Between flutters of your eyes’ shutters, you daydream about nothing else but that soft, subtle, inviting first kiss.
Think about your own first kiss(es). More than likely you remember them more vividly than any of the rest, even your last. The euphoric release and quelling of curiosity about whether or not s/he is a good kisser has finally been satiated. Your answer lies right there in the moment. Right there in the center of your lap as lingual motions above caused movements down below. This is only the beginning, because by definition a first of anything denotes that a second, third and possible fourth may follow. Not all of us are so lucky, though. Hopefully, this won’t be your last embrace, but in case it is, make sure that that first kiss is so memorable that it will stay etched into your memory long after your lips and hearts have parted ways.
How many people remember their first kiss with any of their significant others or partners? Was it the most passionate of them all? What made it so special? How was the night (or day) that led up to that kiss? What are some of your best first kisses? Why?

This is one of my all-time favorite R&B songs ever. Don’t know why, but I love this joint.
